The Guitar99  is Michael Knopf's website dedicated  to his guitar compositions and  recordings. Most of his music is for concert level performance although some pieces are suitable for intermediate to advanced learners. The complete list of works on this site are below.

Michael is a self-defined multi-stylist and poly-genre player and composer who has led a diverse musical life starting as a Rock and Blues player moving on to Bebop, Classical repertoire, Flamenco and Eastern musics. He has pursued the evolution of an individual guitar style by combining his musical experiences with many styles and genres in new material for solo guitar and in asserting his performance philosophy. His works display an intimate acquaintance with Jazz, Classical, Contemporary Art Music, Flamenco and Popular musics as well as his interests in Persian and Indian idioms. In a world where eclecticsim signifies dabbling without discipline, Michael's music elevates the practice professionally and in a true artistic spirit.

Michael intends to have 99 original items listed on Guitar99 for guitar concert artists, aficionados, and for those who enjoy listening to new music for the classical guitar both solo and in ensemble. He is  creating new works for his Doctorate of Musical Arts project which will include a variety of performance platforms, all of which will demonstrate his agility in composing multi-style and poly-genre music. 3 different sort of works are available here: MP3s (Blue Guitar Icon)Full Scores (sample sheet icon) Lead chart Sheets & Scanned Manuscripts (orange guitar icon).
